Naa-Okailey & Jorian
Wedding
For this wedding, I had an additional photographer (my friend Katrina) and a videographer (my friend Irad). The wedding guest size was for more than 230 guests, with a wedding party of 17 people plus the couple; and because of the timeline of 9 hours, 4 locations and logistics, we had to make specific arrangements on how to make sure we take all wedding party photos, family portraits, and more.
The couple decided to get ready in their own parents homes’. The Ceremony took place at Jesus of Prague in Flossmoore and the Reception at The Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park.
The plan was to start with the getting ready process of the groom and then drive to the bride house for her final moments of the getting ready process and pictures with her dress. (due to logistics and delays, we had to skip the Bride getting ready section). At the same time, my friend Katrina was taking pictures of all the wedding party without the couple. Naa and Jorian decided not to do a first look, and see each other at the Church. Irad would start the video at the Church.
Once the wedding party finished with their photos, they were transported in a party bus back to the church were they met everyone for the ceremony.
The Ceremony at church was lovely, with so many emotional moments and even though the ilumination of the church was bit dim we were able to capture so many beautiful memories. We had to follow mandates from the church to not use flash after processional and use it for recessional only. When the Ceremony was over we proceeded to take some family portraits and wedding party portraits. The couple exit the church in a party bus.
We arrived to The Odyssey, and we noticed there was another wedding happening by the pond, so we had to wait and improvise for spots to take pictures, because we were also limited with moving around the golf course due to a game happening that day and not enough golf carts for everyone. In the end, we had a wonderful time because well, the weather got better, especially the harsh sunlight, and everyone got a fresh breeze that make them feel extremely comfortable. The group was very joyous, friendly and extremely organized, so posing them and enjoying the time felt just like having some fun with friends and we can see that in the pictures.
